Fair Parade

With the small size of our school, the 8th graders are invited to march in the high school band. Alex got his first chance to march in the fair parade. Even with the heckling he got from his parents and grandparents, he was able to hold it together and look serious.

Abby's birthday

Here are a few pics from Abby's birthday party. Her day started out in the emergency room with a horrible bacterial ear infection from swimmers ear. As you can see, she perked up a little. I LOVE the picture of the 2 girls!! And, we could not find the birthday candles and had to improvise.

Where have I gone???

OK, I know everyone is upset because I have not posted in sometime. For that, I am very sorry. June was all about taking classes everyday at Miami. The classes were the hardest EVER!! Then after a short week off, it was off to teach SOSI. I now get 4 weeks off until school starts. Here are a few pics from my class so you know I have been working.

Grandparents Day

Gracie has been SOOOO excited about today. Little Papa and Grandma came to her school for Grandparents Day. She has had her outfit planned out for a week, but the cold weather this morning caused a last minute wardrobe change. I am sure that they put on a great show for the grandparents and I hear the food was good. I know she was tickled they came!!!

Concert by the Lake

Here are Alex and Abby at our school's annual Concert By the Lake. As you can see by the pics, Abby is still the smallest kid in her grade (maybe even the whole school). As for Alex, we aren't sure he is even really playing that trumpet. We have never heard him play. He sure does love talking to the girls, though!

Back to normal

I am sorry it has been a while, but nothing exciting is going on. At work we are finished with state testing (yeah!!) and are doing lots of field trips to get through the end of the year.

I am starting to feel better from my brush with Salmonella. I had an ultrasound today to check out my pancreas and liver and gall bladder. The last 2 have issues and I meet with my doctor on Thursday to discuss it.

Concert and track finals this week. Maybe more interesting poststo come...

So, I am sitting in on the couch last night and I heard Alex snoring, louder than usual. I realized he was closer than usual. Apparently he thought the warm clothes were a good place to settle in for the night. Hard to blame him....

For those not within whining distance of me for the last few days, I have been suffering from the worst intestinal infection EVER. I have not been this sick in years. I did sick it up and head to Morehead to see Kyler's soccer game since we were on spring break. It was fun to see him play. Here are a few pics from the game.
