Soooo close....

I was so excited. Neither Alex or Abby had ever wondered how babies got in mommy bellies until they were old enough to hear it. I was hoping that I would make a clean sweep and not have to answer that question in little people terms. But Jaimie and Robby has to ruin it!

Gracie curled up on the couch with me and wanted to know how babies got in mommy bellies. I explained that when people loved each other very much, they would be ready for a baby. Gracie quickly pointed out Emily and Joey who loved each other very much but didn't have a baby. I told her that would when they were ready, just like Jaimie and Robby who are ready now. Gracie thought about this for a second and then asked, "So Mommy, did Jaimie show Robby a lot of love to make the baby in her belly?"

We took Lucy to the pet store to get a collar. She played outside and obviously had no trouble getting comfortable.

So, what is new at the Thompson house? Well, let me introduce you to Lucy, the newest member of the family. Kimmie found her and her brother on the side of the mountain under a rock. Alex campaigned hard to keep her, saying he was ready for the challenge and responsibility. In her first 24 hours in the family she has stolen the hearts of everyone in the family, even my jaded husband. Who could blame them?
